Volunteering to help FIRST teams is a two-way street: team members receive valuable information and encouragement while mentors receive the satisfaction of sharing their knowledge and wisdom, successes and failures, passions and enthusiasm. You’ll be inspired by the energy and excitement that is reflected back to you.
You don't have to be an expert! A wide variety of skills and life experience are needed to bring a robotics team together to guide them to success, but it takes all levels of skill and interest to make up a working team of adult volunteers.
The FIRST organization is poised to assist mentors and leaders in forming teams with excellent resources and written materials. If you think you'd like to form a group, check out their articles and instructions at the links below. And be sure to contact Vermont Robotics for local information and support.
